Bridgnorth St Park update

I am pleased to say that the long-awaited Bridgnorth St Park upgrade is currently underway with no delays.

Construction began in late January with the park starting to take shape over the last week as the shade sails, footpaths and landscaping are completed.

The native Australian animal-themed playground has also been installed and will be enjoyed by many children in our community very soon.

The great news is that Council has been able to reallocate building contractors from parks that were flooded to here whilst those parks exit recovery.

The upgrade includes:

  • A new garden bed (on the site of the old playground)

  • Nine new shade sails

  • A new pathway linking with the existing path

  • New sandstone seating

  • New waste and recycling bins

  • A new accessible fountain with a dog bowl

  • A new flying fox

  • A new out-door fitness area (shaded)

  • A new playground (shaded)

This park upgrade is just a small part of the record investment that the Schrinner Council is making in our parks and public spaces all across Brisbane.
