Dog owners get ready as Newbury Place Park dog park on Cribb Rd, Carindale, is set to see an upgrade of the dog agility equipment!

Works have begun this week and are set to be complete by early April 2022, weather permitting.

Council decided to move this exciting project forward due to the recent floods and will see changes made to both the large and small dog off leash area (DOLA).

Proposed new equipment for the large DOLA

The large DOLA with have new dog agility equipment installed in Deco surface with concrete edging. This equipment includes:

  • 5 x weave poles

  • Hurdles

  • Jump through (with insert)

  • Round tunnel

  • Sit / stay platform

  • Green bridge

  • Balance beam

The small DOLA will also see new dog agility equipment in a grass surface. This includes:

  • 3 x weave poles

  • Hurdles

  • Round tunnel

Temporary fencing and signage has been place around the site during the duration of the whole project for safety reasons.

During construction dog owners can take their pets to the surrounding dog parks such as the Carindale Recreation Reserve and Ron Woolley Place in Mansfield.

I’m excited to see how this upgrade will benefit our local community, especially our growing dog-owning community.
