Carindale Recreation Reserve dog off-leash area upgrade finishes one month early!

Following many community requests, last year I announced that I had secured funding for Council to complete a $96,000 refurbishment to Carindale Recreation Reserve’s dog off leash area.

I’m pleased to announce that this refurbishment has finished a month early after the grass took well to the location.

Previously time was allocated for the new turf to settle in, however last week’s rain sped up the process.

Carindale Recreation Reserve is one of our premier district parks, with it being the mainstay park for many during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The refurbishment included the re-turfing of the entire dog park and the relaying of internal footpaths that became old and cracked.

It also included the installation of double gates, enabling owners to enter and exit the park without having to worry about their pets running off.

The first dogs to get down here will be the luckiest dogs in Brisbane!
