FREE Birthing & Postpartum Education Workshops
I'm delighted to support a new community initiative that will provide local expectant parents with access to high-quality birth and postpartum education at no cost.
I have partnered with Nurtured Beginnings, a local midwife-led education service, to offer a comprehensive 3-week birth and postpartum education series for local families.
As a young parent myself, I understand how valuable it is to feel informed, supported and confident as you prepare to welcome a new baby into your family. Having access to evidence-based information and practical guidance can make a real difference during pregnancy, birth and those important first few months at home.
Intro to Birth & Beyond
A free 3-part class, held over three Sunday mornings
Whether this is your first baby or you're going back for round two, birth and those early newborn weeks bring up a lot of questions. This free three-part class is here to help you feel calm, confident and prepared – for the birth itself and for what comes after.
Delivered by a registered midwife, evidence-based and judgement-free.
What you'll cover
Labour and Birth
✔️ What to actually expect during labour and birth
✔️ What's happening in your body
✔️ Pain management strategies - a whole range of natural and medical options, so you can work out what's right for you
Postpartum and beyond
✔️ What to expect in that first week home with your baby
✔️ What's normal for your newborn - so you know what to expect, and when to seek help
✔️ Feeding your baby - getting started, whatever feeding journey you choose
✔️ Recovering from birth - caring for your body as it heals
No agenda, no "right" way to do it - just the information you need to make your own decisions, with confidence.

Meet your Facilitator - Tam
I'm Tam - a registered midwife and mum of two. I've spent years working inside the hospital system, and I've also birthed two babies within it, so I understand both sides: the clinical side and the lived experience.
I believe birth and postpartum deserve equal attention, and that preparation is power. My approach is always evidence-based and judgement-free. I know there's no one "right" way to birth or parent - only what's right for you. I'm so looking forward to spending these three Sundays with you.
