Residents listened to on Wakerley eyesore redevelopment
Brisbane City Council has imposed strict conditions on the redevelopment of a Wakerley eyesore to ensure its approval does not impact on the amenity of local residents.
Neighbourhood Planning and Development Assessment Chairman Amanda Cooper said Gospel Trust’s proposal to build a community hall was in line with the area's current zoning of ‘emerging community’.

Murphy to ‘come in like a wrecking ball’ on Tingalpa traffic calming
A controversial traffic calming project in Tingalpa is due to be ripped up by Brisbane City Council within weeks.
Doboy Ward Councillor Ryan Murphy said six platforms that formed part of the Tingalpa Local Area Traffic Management (LATM) project would be removed by Council in the week commencing Monday 14 April 2014.

River Gateway Neighbourhood Plan to be adopted
“The River Gateway neighbourhood plan is expected to receive the final stamp of approval from Brisbane City Council on Tuesday 19 March, 2013.
Local Councillor Ryan Murphy (Doboy Ward) said the plan was the result of more than two years of close collaboration between Council and the local community.
