Aminya Street upgrade is going ahead!

I’m very pleased to confirm that Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner has allocated $1.4M over the next few years to upgrade Aminya Street shops.

This comes after I launched a petition in September last year, calling for the much needed upgrade.

Residents agreed, with 286 locals signing the petition.

The upgrades will be completed under Council’s Village Precinct Project (VPP) and will include improvements such as:

  • New footpath treatments

  • Additional street furniture

  • Landscaping and tree planting

  • Public artwork & lighting upgrades

  • Public transport and pedestrian improvements

  • Feature trees, placemaking and wayfinding signage

It’s more important than ever before that we support our local businesses. That’s why Council is fast-tracking this project over the coming months by:

  • Setting up a community reference group

  • Developing concept design

I can’t wait to get this project underway - it’s going to be a game changer for Mansfield.

Check out some of our successful VPPs from recent years in Cannon Hill and Carina.

Keep an eye out on my social media and website for more updates!
