2025/26 Council Budget in Chandler Ward

Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner and I know that the cost of living continues to be a pressing issue for many Brisbane families - no less so in Chandler Ward.

The Schrinner Council is proud to have worked hard to deliver a balanced budget that helps keep costs down for residents by delivering the cheapest rates in South East Queensland, while investing record amounts into subsidising public transport and delivering Brisbane Metro and Brisbane’s New Bus Network, in order to keep Brisbane moving.

We’re also rolling out green bins to every eligible household that wants one, installing new decking on the Story Bridge footpaths, bringing back $2 summer dips, and developing a long-term plan to protect and enhance the much-loved Mt Coot-tha precinct.

In great news for Chandler Ward, 85% of this year’s budget has been allocated to the suburbs - helping us enhance our incredible lifestyle and build a better Brisbane.
