The upgrade is part of Council’s commitment to creating new lifestyle and leisure opportunities and delivering vibrant, liveable communities.

The upgrade to Murarrie Skate Park will enhance the existing facility by developing new and upgraded skate obstacles and transitions that cater for beginners to more advanced skaters.

The upgrade will also involve:

  • upgrading and refreshing the skate park, including existing obstacles and transitions, various
  • quarter pipes and roll-ins, moguls and jumps/ledges to enhance usability and flow
  • upgrading the old surface
  • addition of a half bowl
  • new seating in various locations surrounding the park

For safety reasons, the skate park is required to be closed for the duration of construction which is expected to be completed by mid-2018, weather and site conditions permitting.
