The original concept plan for the learn to ride facility.

The learn to ride track or “dinky track” in Mansfield’s Broadwater Picnic Ground has just received a $51,000 upgrade thanks to Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner.

An upgrade of the park was announced in the 2020-21 Budget and commenced in April this year.

The track was loved to death by generations of local kids, myself included, and was starting to look a bit tired and run down.

As part of the upgrade Council poured 180 metres of fresh new bitumen to replace the old worn surface of the track.

Council has also updated the line markings, installed new road signage and planted new gardens.

Take a look below at the before and after images!

I’m looking forward to seeing all the memories that the refreshed track creates with our local families.

Bring the kids down to try it out and let me know what you think!
