Broadwater Picnic Ground amenities upgrade

In September last year Council completed a $51,000 upgrade to the Broadwater Picnic Ground’s learn to ride track or “dinky track” thanks to Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner.

We’re continuing our investment in rejuvenating the park this year by funding a $258,000 upgrade to amenity facilities in the park.

This includes upgrading the old toilet block in the car park near Culzean St/Mansfield Pl.

The upgrade includes the installation of 3 cubicle toilets in early 2023.

It will look similar to the recently upgraded amenities in Minnippi Parklands in Carina, although the new block will incorporate a nature theme that blends in with the rest of the park.

It will certainly be an asset for our yearly movies in the park, which often sees quite a line out the front of the toilet block. It is usually held halfway through November each year, so make sure you put it in your calendar for next year!

Council will notify residents surrounding the area when works will take place, or alternatively you can keep an eye out on my website for the final design of the block.
