Disc golf takes off in Carindale

The course includes 18 metal baskets and 18 concrete tee-off pads

Carindale’s new family sport has taken off to a flying start with 150 local residents coming out for Cadogan Street Disc Golf Park’s opening weekend in July.

So far the community’s response has been great, and Council will be adding to the park with additional bubblers and bins to complement the course.

Disc golf has been growing fast in popularity in Brisbane and Council wanted to provide a new activity for the park that encouraged a healthy and active lifestyle, and a sport that everyone can play.

The course contains 18 concrete tee-off pads for discs to be thrown as well as 18 metal baskets that are scattered around the park.

If you want to learn how to play, it’s simple! Game play signage can be found in the park, so grab your family, grab your friends and come down to enjoy Carindale’s newest park.
